10 amazing facts about Human Body

Our body is amazing. It has lots of mysteries and capabilities even beyond the knowledge of scientists and doctors. In this post, we are going to list 10 amazing facts about human body.

10: Every atom of our body is said to be billions of years old and our body is 70 percent water.

9: By the age of 18, the human brains stop growing. It even begins to lose more than 1,000 brain cells after such age. Your brain comprises only 2 percent of your body weight but uses up to 20 percent of your body’s energy. Your brain never takes a break even when you are sleeping; the brain is busy working to replenish the brain processes needed to function normally while awake.

8: An average human produces 10,000 gallons of saliva in a lifetime.

7: It is impossible to sneeze without blinking your eyes. The highest recorded speed of a human sneeze is 165 kilometer per hour.

6: The human body sheds about 40 pounds of skin in a lifetime. Our skin produces antibacterial chemicals to keep germs at a bay. It also produces antimicrobial peptides that protect the body from infection.

5: You can’t swallow and breathe at the same time; however babies can do this but until they are about nine months.

4: Yawning helps you cool your brain. It is an involuntary behavior. When you yawn, the influx of cool air may ventilate your sinuses and facilitate brain cooling.

3: Your heart is said to beat nearly 3 billion times if you live an average life span of seventy years.

2: Your lungs need a lot of breathing room. The total surface area of the lungs is approximately equal to the size of a tennis court.

1: Each person has a unique tongue print just like the fingerprints.

Hope you have liked the post. We’ll try to gather and post more hidden and unbelievable facts about human body in our next posts.

Aurora – The Nature’s Light Show......!!!!!!!!!!

The Northern Lights or Aurora Borealis are actually the collisions between electrically charged particles from the sun that enter the earth’s atmosphere. The lights can be seen above the magnetic poles of the southern and northern hemisphere. They are known in the north as “Aurora Borealis” and “Aurora Australis” in the south.
Aurora
These lights appear in different colors. Pale green and pink are the most common. These lights appear in many forms from patches or scattered clouds of light streamers that light up the sky with an eerie glow.
Northern lights are most often seen at high latitudes such as Alaska, Canada, Greenland, Siberia and Iceland during maxima in the solar cycle. Aurora Borealis occur in the Earth’s ionosphere as a result from collisions between energetic electrons and atoms and molecules in the upper atmosphere.
Aurora

Different colors come from different atoms or ions. Green and red colors come from atomic oxygen. Pinkish-reds and blue-violet come from nitrogen ions and molecules. Purple comes from combined colors of nitrogen ions and helium. Neon produces the very rare orange color.
Northern lights are intense when viewed from space northern. They appear in an irregular oval shape that may not be visible to the naked eye. The lights of the Aurora generally extend for 80 kilometers or 50 miles to as high as 640 kilometers or 400 miles above the surface of the earth. Scientists have learned that in most instances, northern and southern auroras are mirror-like images that occur at the same time with similar shapes and colors.
Areas that are not subject to “light pollution” are the best places to witness the beauty of the lights. Aurora was derived from the Latin word “aurora “which means “sunrise”. Aurora Borealis also means the “dawn of the north” while the Aurora Australis means “the dawn of the south”.

God of cricket turns 40......!!!! Happy b'day Sachin....

Icon, hero and celebrity: Sachin Tendulkar turns 40
Cricketnext Staff Cricketnext | 24-Apr 08:15 AM
After playing 198 Tests and 463 ODIs in which he scored 100 international centuries, Sachin Tendulkar woke up a quadragenarian on Wednesday, but still with the same eagerness to play and perform as he had when he made his debut as a 16-year-old in 1989.
Speculations remain rife about his retirement, as has been the case for the last five years, more so since he lived his dream of winning the World Cup for India two years ago.
From then to now, Tendulkar quit ODIs to keep his Test career afloat but the flow of runs hasn't been anywhere near the standards he set for himself. In 21 Tests since India won the World Cup in 2011, Tendulkar has scored just 1145 runs at an average of 31.80. But that and media reports about his fast-approaching retirement haven't diminished Tendulkar's zeal to perform. In fact, he has a piece of advice.
"Your job is to write, my job is to play. I will stick to my job and you stick to yours," he said during a promotional event last week, adding, "People have been talking about my retirement since 2005, but that does not worry me at all."
Fifty-one centuries in Tests and 49 in ODIs are part of Tendulkar's 34,273 international runs, but he's been far from the batsman who Don Bradman thought was closest to how he played. It's something that finds evidence in his struggle to reach 100 centuries, which took a year to come.
The last of Tendulkar's Test hundred came in January 2011 in South Africa, when he scored 146. But undaunted, Tendulkar has chosen to march on, probably looking at another visit to South Africa later this year, even as compatriots Rahul Dravid, VVS Laxman, Sourav Ganguly and more recently Ricky Ponting opting to hang their boots.

Records broken by Gayle...........Awesome....!!!!!!!!!!!!

Chris Gayle sounded out a warning to Pune as Bangalore prepared to play their last of three consecutive home games at the M Chinnsawamy Stadium.

While the hosts are placed on second spot, Pune are languishing in the bottom half, and hurting after a crushing defeat to Punjab despite the batting finally coming good.
However, Gayle said Bangalore would not take things lightly and ensure that they take maximum points before embarking on a long phase of away games.

This is the most brutal inning played by any batsmen. The jamaican smashed 100 of just 30 balls breaking the record for fastest hundred in T20 history. The big man just got the most sixes by any batsman in an t20 match by hitting 17 sixes.

He scored 175 of just 66 balls. Which is the most runs scored by an individual in a T20 game. He became the second man to score 150 in a t20 match.

The Records Broken by Gayle are:

  • Highest score by an individual in a T20 match. (175* in 66 balls)
  • Most sixes by an individual in a T20 match. (17 sixes)
  • Fastest fifty by an player in a T20 match. (of just 17 balls)
  • Fastest hundred by an individual in a T20 match. (of just 30 balls)
  • Fastest 150 by an player in T20 match.
  • Longest six of IPL history. (119 m)
He is probably the best T20 batsman in the world. He is a hard hitter. He can just do anything. He is simply the one of best cricketer in the history.

Gayle storm.....smash that record....!!!!

Gayle blew past the previous record of 37 balls set by Yusuf Pathan before the first strategic time-out, which was taken at the end of the ninth over.

Chris Gayle left a trail of shattered bowlers on his way to the fastest 100 in IPL history. BCCI by Tariq Engineer 33 mins ago

Chris Gayle shattered the record for the fastest 100 in the IPL and the fastest 100 in T20 history with a six that flew out of the Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bangalore. It was carnage on a grand scale as Gayle raced to three figures in just 30 balls, having smashed 11 sixes, most of them straight and over long-on, and eight fours.

The previous IPL record was owned by Yusuf Pathan, who bludgeoned a 100 from just 37 balls back when he played for Rajasthan Royals, but Gayle blew past that mark before the first strategic time-out, which was taken at the end of the ninth over.

He actually began sedately, scoring just a single from his first three deliveries. That has been his pattern this season, to take his time before flexing his hitting muscles. It was poor Ishwar Pandey who got Gayle up and running. Playing in his first game this season - and now possibly his last - Pandey started with two wide deliveries outside off that Gayle smacked for four. A no-ball and a free hit led to two more fours and by the end of the over, Gayle had 21 from 10 balls.

Mitchell Marsh was the next to suffer - in an over that was briefly the most expensive this season. Gayle went 6, 6, 4, 0, 6, 6, the last of which brought a burst of laughter from Virat Kohli sitting in the dugout. It was clean, powerful hitting from a man who has become synonymous with T20 cricket, and whom crowds the world over flock to see for this very reason.

Gayle's first 50 took just 17 balls but it turns out he was just getting warmed up. Pune Warriors brought on the left-arm spin of Ali Murtaza in desperation, but that was just more meat and drink to Gayle, who plundered 17 from the over. For reasons best known to him, Aaron Finch decided to bowl his own left-arm spin despite Gayle's assault on Murtaza. The result was devastatingly predictable.

The first ball Gayle faced in the over disappeared over deep midwicket; the second over nearly carried onto the roof over long-on. The third just went for four back over....

Place where 2 sea meet but don't mix......!!!!

Is there a place where two oceans meet but do not mix? A genuine photograph was shown and the message is a fact. The photograph was taken by Kent Smith, an Alaskan Cruise photographer and he shared it to Flickr. The news spread out rapidly on social networking sites such as Twitter, Facebook, etc.
The photograph shows that foam is formed between the two different bodies of water meeting in the middle of Alaskan Gulf. It appears as if the two oceans are colliding rather than mixing. It is said that the foam was the result of the melting glacier that is composed of fresh water. The ocean water has a higher percentage of salt. These caused the two bodies of water to have different densities. Because of the salinity and density differences, a thin wall was produced which does not allow the two different bodies of water to merge. This explains why the two different bodies of water did not mix. But given enough time, they will eventually mix together.
The said photograph was taken last year. The photographer was sitting on the deck for quite some time when he noticed something that seems to be a shadow of the clouds about five miles from the ship. As the ship approaches the shadow, he realized that it was something different. The photographer took many shots but he did not posted any of them until a year after the said image went viral

Strength and Courage...!!!!!

We gain strength, and courage, and confidence by each experience in which we really stop to look fear in the face... we must do that which we think we cannot.

Life is indeed difficult, partly because of the real difficulties we must overcome in order to survive, and partly because of our own innate desire to always do better, to overcome new challenges, to self-actualize. Happiness is experienced largely in striving towards a goal, not in having attained things, because our nature is always to want to go on to the next endeavor.

Galaxy S4.........awesome!!!

The Galaxy S4, which crams a 5-inch 1080p screen into body slightly smaller than the S III's, will go sale globally in the April to June period.
The S4 is 69mm wide, 7.9mm thick, weighs just 130 grams and is encased in polycarbonate.

GALAXY S4 AT A GLANCE

Slightly thinner than its predecessor, the Galaxy S4 will go on sale next month.
The skinny but durable handset includes such special features as voice-recognition text messaging, translator software that can recognize 9 languages and an incredible touchscreen technology that toggles some features just by waving your finger.
It uses apps like Samsung's WatchOn to bring on-demand video straight to the phone.
The cameras on each side of the S4 can be used in sync with each other, planting the photographer inside the photo he or she is taking. It also has an erase feature.
The newest features involve different options for navigation.
If the phone senses someone is looking at the screen, the user can tilt it forward or backwards to scroll up and down a Web page.
That feature falls slightly short of what some consumers may have expected after the New York Times reported that the phone would be able to scroll automatically by tracking readers' eyes.
But what it can do is sense when it has someone's attention.
When a video is playing the stream will automatically pause if the person looks away from the device and it will restart when the eyes come back to the screen.
Texting while driving will be a thing of the past, as the smart phone's voice recognition featurehas the capability to dictate, reply, forward and save messages using only verbal commands.

Strength.....

Strength: A river cuts through a rock, not because of it’s power, but its persistence.

Life.. its all abt

A human being is a part of the whole called by us universe, a part limited in time and space.
He experiences himself,
his thoughts
and feeling as something separated from the rest,
a kind of optical delusion of his consciousness.
This delusion is a kind of prison for us,
restricting us to our personal desires and to affection for a few persons nearest to us.
Our task must be to free ourselves from this prison by widening our circle of compassion to embrace all living creatures and the whole of nature in its beauty.....

Life.....Enjoy it

Throughout life people will make you mad,
disrespect you and treat you bad.....
Let God deal with the things they do,
cause hate in your heart will consume you too.....
